The City of Mar­i­on’s Home Repair Assis­tance Pro­gram approved last year is help­ing a total of 18 res­i­dents with var­i­ous need­ed home repairs through­out Mar­i­on. These are just a few of many smil­ing faces from this pro­gram to improve our city while help­ing with blight elim­i­na­tion.

The City of Mar­i­on and Com­mon Coun­cil made $100,000 avail­able through its Blight Elim­i­na­tion Pro­gram in 2024 to help home­own­ers who need assis­tance with var­i­ous exte­ri­or home repair costs. Appli­cants were encour­aged to apply for up to $5,000 in finan­cial assis­tance per homeowner/​household while the fund­ing was available.
